Responsible use of disposable email and forwarding aliases
These terms explain what you may do with TempLetter, what you must avoid, and what a short-lived email service cannot be responsible for.
Do not bypass limits
Automation, polling, and alias creation must comply with quotas, rate limits, and security checks.
Emails do not represent this site
External senders are responsible for their message content, links, and attachments. This site does not endorse their claims.
Abuse may lead to termination
Fraud, attacks, or conduct that harms others may result in an address, alias, or access being suspended.
Permitted uses
- Isolated trials, downloads, and event notifications
- Create a separate alias for shopping or subscriptions
- Run compliant tests on systems you own
Conduct that gets shut down
- Phishing, fraud, harassment, and impersonation
- Mass registration, vote manipulation, or ban evasion
- Distributing malware or attacking interfaces

1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using this site, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use it for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these rules.
If you do not agree, stop using the temporary inbox, forwarding aliases, and dashboard. Mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction are not excluded by these terms.
2. The service
We provide temporary inboxes that expire automatically, along with forwarding aliases and 30 days of delivery history after verification-code login. Features may be reasonably adjusted for security, capacity, and legal requirements.
Limits shown on the site are the current operating rules, not a promise that they will remain unchanged. Prepare an alternative email address and backup method for important communications.
3. Temporary addresses
Temporary addresses are intended only for low-risk, short-term tasks. Do not use one as the sole recovery method for banking, healthcare, work, or important accounts. Complete your activity before the countdown ends.
Do not guess, steal, or share someone else’s access token. Anyone with the token may view the inbox, so protect it like a short-term credential.
4. Forwarding accounts
You are responsible for securing your login email and session tokens, and for how you use the aliases you create. If the real destination email stops working or reaches its quota, forwarding may be affected.
Pausing stops future deliveries, and deletion is usually irreversible. Copies already delivered to the real mailbox will not be recalled when an alias is deleted.
5. Fair use
Do not bypass interface rate limits, alias quotas, lifecycles, or frontend security checks. High-frequency polling, address enumeration, and unauthorized stress testing are prohibited.
We may limit requests based on system load and spam risk. These limits help preserve fair access for regular users and keep the infrastructure stable.
6. Prohibited conduct
Fraud, phishing, harassment, stalking, threats, infringement, and malware distribution are prohibited. Do not use addresses in bulk to evade bans, age requirements, payment obligations, or promotional rules.
Do not impersonate TempLetter staff or claim that this site guarantees an external transaction. Credible signs of abuse may trigger immediate restrictions.
7. Third-party email
Emails are created by external senders; their links, attachments, and claims do not represent this site. Judge the source independently, and never enter passwords or payment details on suspicious pages.
Third parties may reject temporary domains or change their account policies. Registration and recovery issues resulting from this should be handled with the relevant service.
8. Intellectual property
This site’s brand, interface, original copy, and protected code belong to their lawful rights holders. You receive only a limited, revocable license to use the service.
You retain rights to lawful content, but must not submit material you are not authorized to process. Product suggestions may be used to improve the service without disclosing confidential information.
9. Suspension and termination
If you violate these terms or endanger the system or others, we may limit requests, suspend aliases, or terminate access. Emergency security measures may be taken without advance notice.
You may stop using the service and delete your aliases. Termination does not remove liabilities arising before termination or recall emails already delivered.
10. Availability
The service is provided as is and as available. We will maintain it reasonably, but do not guarantee continuous, error-free, delay-free service or delivery of any particular email.
Businesses that cannot tolerate interruptions should use an email product with a service-level agreement. A temporary inbox should not be treated as permanent storage or a backup.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, this site is not liable for indirect losses, data loss, unrecoverable accounts, or third-party conduct. Liability that cannot legally be excluded continues to apply.
Claims arising from a user’s unlawful conduct or infringement of another person’s rights must be borne by the responsible party as required by law. This section does not limit non-waivable consumer protections.
12. Changes and contact
Changes to these terms will update the date on this page; material changes may include additional notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the new rules.
